Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid

Volkswagen has finally made its first foray into the hybrid market, and it begins with the Touareg SUV. Volkswagen Touareg presented a slimmer lighter design, including a hybrid variant in a press conference in Munich, the official vehicle for the show at the Geneva Motor Show 2010. The pursuit of efficiency, but also the performance claims that Volkswagen combined fuel consumption in the low 20 mpg range, while 0 to 60 of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 150 miles per hour. Towing capacity is more than £ 7,700.
The Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid Power marries an Audi built, supercharged three-liter V6 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission fitted with a disc-shaped electric motor intern Electrical Energy in £ 155 worth of nickel-metal hydride battery under the rear loading area are located.
The 2011 VW Touareg Hybrid is a full hybrid, capable of traveling up to a mile and at speeds up to 30 miles per hour in all-electric drive mode. The overall performance will be a 380 hp and a peak 428 pounds-feet of torque. The Touareg Hybrid The installation also features a free-running power that the engine comes off the transmission when the driver releases the accelerator pedal while traveling at high speeds.VW's engineers and marketing specialists are proud of the technical capability of the vehicle and expect these features to attract new buyers. "For Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid, we are the electric motor with a gasoline direct injection engine in our new 3.0 V6 TSI have combined," said Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, head of research and development. "Therefore, the Touareg Hybrid benefits from two top technologies. This combination is unique and can not be found among competitors."
Hybrid purists might not be impressed with the real world mileage, probably in the low 20s, but keep in mind that the final Touareg has gone on a diet. The hybrid engine replaced the previous V8 gasoline engines in Europe and America. And the V10 TDI and W12 engine version of its predecessor, advance tab.

Place in the market
The Touareg Hybrid is not the first hybrid SUV to be on the U.S. market than not by a long shot. (The Ford Escape Hybrid was introduced in 2004.) However, the Touareg is the first and only SUV in Europe by a German carmaker offered a hybrid version. The Touareg, the combination of style, size and solid off-road capability is something that can not claim the other smaller hybrid SUVs.
The new Volkswagen Touareg line, offered in a number of conventional gasoline and diesel engines (hybrid), easier and more efficient Touareg for 2011 will be. Most, if not all of the models will be offered with a start-stop system, shutting off the engine when the car stops.
The Touareg Hybrid will be more expensive, yet positioned as something capable and powerful alternative to the luxury Lexus RX450h hybrid SUV. Maybe that's not a bad train for VW, because the RX hybrid is already the best selling hybrid SUV for most of the 2009th Prices for the Touareg Hybrid is not yet known, but it must fall directly in line above the Lexus RX450h, but significantly lower than the Cadillac Escalade hybrid and the BMW X6 ActiveHybrid.
The primary purpose of the vehicle seems Europe. VW boasts that the Touareg Hybrid and the V6 TDI Touareg, the most fuel-efficient gas and diesel SUVs ever built in Europe in this great class.
Other signs of high-tech vehicle electrification with a parking brake that is activated by a button now, and a tailgate that can be an option, open and closed by the remote control integrated into the car keys. The innovative "Area View" seen by four cameras to capture the Touareg, the environment and increases safety. Protection comes with nine airbags. Lane Assist ensures that the vehicle is not approaching the case stray from the straight path, meanwhile, Side Assist warns of vehicles from the rear when changing lanes. See also adaptive cruise control, bi-xenon headlights Assist and Dynamic Light sensing oncoming traffic and adjust the light beam in order to avoid unwanted glare, and adaptive roll compensation ensures that the Touareg is firmly on the road.
